NIXON, Murrel O'Donnell Porter - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Murrel Nixon, 74, died yesterday April 14, 1968, at Mercy Hospital in Miami, Fla. She had been residing with a son, Malcolm Porter, at Miami for the past three years. Born in 1893 near Yeddo, she was the daughter of Frank and Ida Shanks O'Donnell. Her parents moved to Cayuga when she a small child and she was reared there. In 1910, she married John Porter, who died in 1943. In 1953, she married R.H. Nixon, who died in 1961. Survivors include her son, Malcolm; and two brothers, Everett O'Donnell of Indianapolis and Harold O'Donnell of Cayuga. The body is being returned to the Watson Funeral Home. Services will be there at 2p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Eugene Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.   -- kbz
